THE BEASTS OF THE WILD
THE PRIDE OF A WILDLIFE CONSERVATIVE COUNTRY
The creatures of the forest; commonly known as wild animals are the gift a country boasts of securing in this tourist-abundant world. Many people from across the planet globe-trot to the well-endowed countries which harbor the rare species of creatures. We all love getting to view these animals going about their daily activities and also the way they maneuver through with their relationships too. We love watching Nat Geo channel because we enjoy wild life. The life in the forest makes us live in the reality
that animals enjoy even more than most humans do. Some execute things with great intelligence and also protect their young ones in such a way that you may wonder.
However, not all of us are happy to view these beasts. Some few people poach these animals for their individual benefit. The endangered animals e.g. the white rhinos and also the elephants have for a long time been a target for most poachers. Greed for horns/ivory has overtaken the love for animals. The cat family i.e. the Leopards and cheetah are mostly killed because of their skin. All in all, we find no one to provide the 100% care that these animals deserve. Reserves and orphanages have greatly helped in conserving these beasts that nature would have destroyed. Credit should be given abundantly to these ‘wildlife homes’ that use a lot of resources to upkeep these lovely creatures.
The love for animals is greatly seen as tourists flock in our country –Kenya to have a look at the great orphanages and the big five animals we host. The Nairobi Orphanage acts as the biggest ‘home’ we have for most abandoned creatures. The kind of love and care that these animals go through is more than they would have had in the wild. Some of them would have succumbed to death or pass through excruciating moments.
It’s interesting to get to understand that some animals live better lives than most humans do. They make families and never break-up. They take care of their young ones until they are fully mature; they form troops after the young ones mature. Some of them e.g. the lion and leopards from troops and assume a certain territory. They govern the troops and ensure that troop’s members are safe. They fetch for prey and ensure that all the members of the troops have had a share. It’s just a survival way that our almighty designed them. They have the mind and work out things intelligently.
They make love and have young ones just as humans do. They have a courtship period too; where they begin admiring each other and later mate at the peak moments. They just resemble the humans in most of the things they do.
Wild animals are a pride of a country. They make a country stand out and they should be protected against poachers and natural disasters.
